Men's Wide Toe Box Shoes

Men's Altra shoes are shaped like feet, with a wide toe box that lets your toes spread naturally for better balance and comfort over long distances. This page shows every men's Altra on the Original or Standard FootShape fit, the two roomiest, across road, trail, hiking and walking.

Original is the roomiest; Standard keeps the toe room with a more secure midfoot. Compare the fits. Need extra width through the whole shoe? See men's wide fit shoes.

Altra Men's Wide Toe Box Running Shoes: The Full Range

Every Altra men's running shoe in our Australian warehouse, built around the principle that toes should be free to splay. The FootShape™ toe box is wider than a standard runner across the forefoot: your big toe stays in line, your foot's natural arch and arch-rocker functions properly, and the splay you get on barefoot ground translates back into the shoe.

Pair the toe box with our Zero Drop platform (heel and forefoot at the same height) and the result is a stride that loads the foot the way nature designed it. Less heel-jacking, less crammed-up forefoot, less of the slow-burn discomfort that drives runners to physiotherapists.

This collection spans road, trail, hike, and gym across cushion levels. The Torin family is our cushioned road daily; the Lone Peak is our flagship trail; the Escalante runs lighter and lower. Need wider than standard? Look for "Wide" in the name (Torin 8 Wide, Paradigm 8 Wide, Lone Peak 9+ Wide) for true wide forefoot fit.
