We made it faster. The Vanish Carbon 2 features a full-length carbon fiber plate, even more lightweight midsole foam for a soft feel, and improved flexibility. It’s ready to rocket you through a tough speed workout and obliterate PRs on race day. Negative splits? Oh, positively. We built it to perform by increasing the stack height from 33mm to 36mm, with Altra EGO PRO™ midsole foam that’s 32% lighter in weight. This updated foam is more pliable, for added cushion and response. An updated full-length carbon fiber plate delivers a 14% increase in asymmetry, allowing for a more natural (and probably faster) stride. This redesign overhaul combined with additional flex grooves in the outsole gives you 75% improved flexibility. With Altra’s signature FootShape fit, you get a roomy toe box with space for your toes to move freely, snug midfoot, and zero drop, so you can move the way you were designed to. How to Measure Your Foot

Stand on a piece of paper with your heel flat against a wall.
Mark the tip of your longest toe (this isn't always your big toe).
Measure from the wall to the mark in centimetres.
Match the measurement to your size in the table below.

We recommend leaving roughly 1 cm to 1.5 cm of room at the front of the shoe to allow for natural foot expansion during your run.

Altra always labels its shoes in US sizes. The US column is the size you'll order at checkout.
Men's: Australian men's sizing follows the UK system, so your usual AU size is the same as the UK column. Read across to find the matching US size.
Women's: Australian women's sizing follows the US system, so your usual AU size is the same as the US column — no conversion needed.
If you measure your foot in centimetres, the CM column is the most accurate guide.
