The Altra fit

Fits different — so you can stay out there.

Every Altra is built on two ideas: a roomy FootShape™ toe box that lets your feet work the way they were designed to, and a Zero-to-Low Drop platform that distributes weight evenly from heel to forefoot. Together, they're why an Altra feels different the moment you put it on — and why it keeps feeling right at kilometre thirty.

Pillar 1

Room for your toes.

Our FootShape™ toe box gives your toes space to spread out naturally, so they can grip, balance and propel you forward instead of being squeezed into a point.

  • Lets your feet function the way they were designed to.
  • A straight big toe optimises your natural stability.
  • More comfort over long runs — toes don't pinch as feet swell.
  • Stronger push-off through the forefoot during walking and running.

Pillar 2

A level platform, heel to forefoot.

Zero-to-Low Drop means the heel and forefoot sit at the same height (or close to it). Your foot lands naturally, weight stays balanced, and the impact spreads instead of concentrating in one place.

  • Balanced weight distribution alleviates pressure on the forefoot and knees.
  • Encourages a more efficient, functional movement pattern.
  • Promotes natural body alignment from foot to hip.
  • Low drop (4mm) is a gentler entry point if you're newer to zero drop.
